June: rain & renewal
This month has been a gift. Towards the start of June, the rainy season here has started - a welcome relief from the intense heat of the dry season. This park where I walk a lot used to be brown, bone dry and dusty. After a week or two of rains, everything has returned to its lushness.

I love walking here. It's quite astonishing to see this happen in such a short period of time. I'm really inspired by it, just seeing everything unfold. A sense of aliveness and renewal that's giving me energy.

Something that is missing in these photos is the sound of the place. There's this low hum of cicadas and insects and sing-song tweeting of birds. I recently saw a couple of green long-tailed parakeets just hanging out in one of the acacia trees. Did you know a group of them is called a pandemonium? Because they are so noisy :)

What I am learning:
- How to use Bear blog
- Using claude code to develop my personal site: http://www.katespinosa.com
- Get used to writing and have fun with it
What I am wondering:
- What's my minimalist workout routine is
- Next book to read
Where help would help:
- Accountability, support, appreciation in enjoying the writing process to document some of my thoughts and codifying some of the frameworks I have for my design work
- I'm setting up a little friend group event this August and I need volunteers / guinea pigs. I'm not sure what the event is about yet: probably something related to my interest - journaling/writing/classical music/design/walking in nature/offline gatherings/cooking/picnic.
- I want my walks in nature to be more social but getting the schedule of friends to align can be so tedious. Any suggestions on how to do this better?
